Speaker output
SM-500 is a conference speakerphone with a built-in battery. Placed in the middle of the table, it picks up sound from all around, reaching people within a 4-metre radius. One charge lasts about 8 hours, so it goes to whichever room needs it.
01360° pickup
One in the middle covers the whole table.
A four-microphone array picks up sound through 360°, covering 8 metres across (a 4-metre radius).

02Echo cancellation and noise reduction
The other side hears clean sound.
Echo cancellation, automatic noise reduction and automatic gain control are built in, and both sides can talk at once without cutting each other off. Stereo speakers are built in (5 W RMS, 7 W peak). When several units are used together every one of them plays sound, so each seat hears clearly however large the room.

03Built-in battery
No need to find a socket.
A 5200 mAh battery gives up to about 8 hours of talk time, and charges over USB 5V / 2A in about 4 hours.

04USB plug and play
Connect to a computer and use it.
A USB cable connects to a computer with no driver on Windows or macOS, and it can be selected directly in Teams, Google Meet and Zoom. AUX in and out are also provided.

05Up to four together
A bigger room just needs a few more.
In a larger room or with longer tables, several SM-500 units can be used together, up to four, so every row has a microphone and speaker nearby. The photo shows a real installation in a training room. The units link to each other wirelessly, with no cables between them; once linked they play in sync and handle echo and reverberation together.

06Simple to plan
No system to design. Just decide how many.
One SM-500 contains the speaker, the microphones and the audio processing, with no amplifier or audio processor to add. For rooms of different sizes the only thing to decide is the number: one for a small room, then two, three or four as the room gets larger. It sits on the table and is ready to use, with no building work or cabling, so installation takes the least time.
07How many do you need?
It depends on the table.
One unit covers a circle of 4-metre radius. With several units, let the circles overlap so that every seat is picked up. A table up to 6 metres needs one; a long table of about 12 metres takes three along the centre line; a U-shape of about 8 × 8 metres takes one on each side; a larger U-shape takes four, one on each side and two along the base.

08Wireless receiver
No cable to the computer, and it connects to a codec too.
SM-500 works with a USB wireless receiver: with the receiver in the computer, the SM-500 on the table needs no cable to it. The receiver also has a 3.5 mm analogue connection for the audio input and output of a hardware video conferencing codec. A pairing button on the receiver pairs it with the SM-500.

09With a hardware video codec
Works with the room's existing video conferencing codec.
The wireless receiver's 3.5 mm analogue connection splits into a speaker lead and a microphone lead, which go to the audio output and input of a hardware video conferencing codec. The SM-500 then serves as that codec's speaker and microphone. The receiver only needs a USB power adaptor.
