Omnidirectional pickup
Pickup radius
Satellites need no power
SM-800 is a conference speakerphone that can be linked in a chain. One unit works on its own; in a bigger room, connect them one after another with the dedicated network cable, up to 6, so that everyone along a long table has a microphone and speaker nearby.
01Up to 6 in a chain
As long as the table.
Most conference speakerphones work only on their own, or expand to two or three units at most. SM-800 chains up to 6, so you choose the number that suits the room and the need, and add more later if the room or the team grows. Units are linked one to the next with the dedicated network cable supplied (5 m), and extension units need no power supply of their own. The sound plays in sync and echo is handled across all units. * Chain with the dedicated network cable only.

02360° pickup
Each unit covers a 3-metre radius.
A four-microphone array picks up sound through 360°, covering 6 metres across (a 3-metre radius). Stereo speakers (3 W) are built in.

03Full audio processing
Echo, noise and reverberation handled together.
Echo cancellation, automatic noise reduction, automatic gain control and reverberation suppression are built in, and both sides can talk at once.

04Works on its own too
A small room needs only a USB cable.
A single unit is powered over USB. Connect it to a computer and start the meeting, with no driver on Windows or macOS.

05A real installation
Along the table, one after another.
The photo shows a real long-table meeting room: SM-800 units sit along the centre line, chained by the dedicated network cable, so no seat is far from a microphone and speaker.

06How to chain
The main unit goes to the computer; extensions follow one after another.
The main unit connects to the computer by USB and to its power adaptor. The dedicated network cable then runs from the main unit to the first extension unit, and on from each unit to the next, up to six in all. The cable carries both power and signal, so extension units need no power supply of their own.

07Dedicated network cable
Custom made, for steady power and audio.
The SM-800 chaining cable is custom made, 5 metres each, and carries both power and audio. It has thicker cores (26 AWG bare copper), two layers of shielding (SF/UTP: aluminium foil plus an aluminium-magnesium alloy braid) and RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts and a metal shell, for better signal quality and resistance to interference. * Chain with the dedicated network cable only.

08SM-800 Bridge (optional)
Connect to the room's existing mixer or conference system.
The SM-800 Bridge is an optional accessory with audio processing built in. It chains and powers the SM-800 units over the dedicated network cable, and on the other side connects to a computer by USB, or to a mixer or conference system by analogue audio (RCA). USB and analogue output cannot be used at the same time.

FAQ
How many SM-800 units can be chained?
Up to 6, added as the room size and the need require. Units are linked one to the next with the dedicated network cable supplied (5 m). When chained, the sound plays in sync and echo is handled across all units.
Do SM-800 extension units need their own power?
No. Extension units are powered over the dedicated network cable (PoE). The main unit uses the supplied adaptor when chained; used alone, it is powered by USB from the computer.
Which cable do I use to chain SM-800 units?
Chain with the dedicated network cable supplied only (5 metres each). It is custom made, with thicker cores (26 AWG bare copper), double shielding (SF/UTP) and RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts and a metal shell, so it carries power and audio reliably at the same time.
What is the pickup range of one SM-800?
6 metres (a 3-metre radius), picking up through 360°.
